It’s fundraising time! Time to swing into action! We need to raise $30,000.00!
2008-2009 School Year Needs
$ 9,900 9 Redcat Sound Systems
$ 18,000 9 Smart Boards
$ 2,000 2 Ceiling-mount Projectors (Cafeteria and Media Center)
$ 29,900 Total
In the past, we have raised money by selling products (wrapping paper, chocolate, etc.). This year we are bringing back our one and only ***ONE*** fundraiser, a WALK-A-THON:
JUNGLE SAFARI THRU THE CT RAINFOREST
Let’s all pitch in together, so that we meet our goal and don’t need another fundraiser.
We are asking each student to help. (Our goal is $60.00 per student or $100.00 per family). This can be done in three different ways:
1) Ask for pledges and donations from friends and family.
2) Families can simply donate one lump sum without soliciting from others.
3) Parents can walk too, for $5.00 each.
* All donations are tax-deductible!
With these different options, every student will be able to contribute to the fundraiser. On the day of the walk-a-thon, each grade will have a designated time to walk. The “SAFARI” will be approximately ¼ mile. Each student will have an opportunity to trek through the rainforest 4 times. After finishing the safari, each class will receive healthy snack from the safari camp.
Prizes will be awarded to the students and families who earn and collect the most money as well as the top class in each grade level:
Ø GRAND PRIZE (Family or Individual) Naming Rights (street sign) for the front loop (1 year)
Ø FIRST PLACE (Family or Individual) CT Safari Leader (Principal for the Day)
Ø 2nd thru 4th Place – free visit to the trading post. (gift cards - 2nd $50, 3rd $35, 4th $20)
Ø The top-earning classroom per grade level will beach their canoes ‘round a pizza snack.
For individual prizes, family earnings will be divided by number of students.
